The Spaceship Earth Podcast was started by Dan Burgess in 2018 after more than 2 decades working, experimenting and journeying with courageous brands, NGO’s, activists, campaigners, artists, creatives, scientists, ecologists, nature guides, wisdom teachers and place based communities, surfacing and exploring the increasing tensions and challenges facing a globalised civilisation designed and built on an illusionary story of separation - from ourselves, from each other and from nature, our more than human family.
The podcast exists to have deeper conversations with humans involved in regenerating life, raising awareness and shifting consciousness, re-imagining how we might live more beautifully and peacefully through radical connection, creativity, care, imagination, community, solidarity, wellbeing and more.
It’s a space for honest & vulnerable conversations, about living through the uncertainty of climate and ecological breakdown, massive inequalities and social injustices whilst exploring a story of ‘becoming crew’, actively participating and co-creating new ways of being and practicing that are life-giving, growing life sustaining communities and cultures.
Guided by new and ancient stories that all life is interconnected and interdependent, trusting in relationships, emergence, not knowing, mystery, vulnerability, humility, generosity, love, co-operation, experimentation and participation.
In 2021 we began to convene community and host transformative (un)learning experiences to evolve ourselves together, to fully participate in bringing life back - in ourselves, with each other and with our more than human family - re-entangling with the web of life, stepping into service, in service to life, becoming crew on Spaceship Earth.
